La Joie De Vivre.
Hey all! I’m currently watching a new series called Awake on global and so far I’m liking it :) It’s a psychological drama about a man who was in a car accident with his wife and teenage son. We switch back and forth from his TWO realities. Yes that’s right, one where his wife is alive and the son is dead and the other where his son is alive and wife is dead. He goes to a shrink in both “realities”, thing is, he doesn’t know which one is a dream and which one is his actual reality. I’m very intrigued and can’t wait to see how it goes! Check it out and let me know what you think xoxo
Hey guys :) my friend Francis (S/O HEYYYY) told me to watch this show and by half of the first episode I was already hooked and mind fxkd. I just finished the last episode they aired and nearly cried, it was so good. If you’re thinking “meh I don’t have time to watch a new show”, then don’t fuss because it only has 2 seasons so far and only 3 episodes in each so a grand total of 6 episodes they are like an hour and a half but it’s defo worth your time! Check it out and let me know what you think :) xo
So for anyone who watches Revenge, I feel like I must say something about last night’s episode (Episode 15 - Chaos). What happened? I feel like everything I knew is all down the drain now, and now I have to come up with new theories to answer these overwhelming questions! Without being too long on this one I’m gonna point out a few things. Warning! There are spoilers contained in this post; do not read if you haven’t seen it yet.
A) Tyler came back! OMG how did they let this nut job loose? T.T
B) I knew fake Amanda was going to turn on real Amanda. I mean I pity her because she actually loves Jack but doesn’t she realize it is a messed up situation and their relationship probably won’t work out when everything is revealed?
C) I’m confused as whether to Emily really loves Daniel, it seems that she has some kind of positive feelings towards him. He isn’t like his parents so that’s a reason why she shouldn’t use him but alas it must be so.
D) The grandfather is a douchebag.
E) I’m mad cause Jack had a chance to start over and leave but this bitch Amanda had to come and ruin things.
F) WHAT? Are Nolan and the Sensei plotting something? Are they bad guys? Please tell me you guys saw the look they gave each other at the party!
G) WHATTTTT? We all were thinking that Daniel died but nope it was Tyler, where did Daniel go and why is he covered in blood if he didn’t kill him? I’m actually quite relieved that he didn’t die cause I loveeee him <3 haha
H) Obviously this Sensei is plotting something why else would he pick up Amanda and say “oh it’s a pleasure to serve you” What a bitch.
Now we have to wait a while before the next episode comes back. This sure seemed like a season finale to me! But luckily it wasn’t and it’s only going on hiatus for a little bit… I hope so anyways. So yea I basically was gasping and going “What?!?” for like the entire episdoe. *Sigh* so much to think over. let me know your theories! xo
Ahhhh Juliete and her one-liners <3, I’ve noted that most of the episodes’ titles are from her dialogue which is interesting to say the least. Today my Ringer review will be straight to the point as I’m behind and want to watch the latest episode as I hear it is deliciously amazing. No one actually told me it was deliciously amazing or even delicious but I digress. Most of the episode had to do with Siobhan trying to convince Henry that she was telling the truth and Bridget trying to figure out what Siobhan was up to before she “died”. Bridget of course is getting no where, like let’s get moving already, I think I would have already figured out that Siobhan was alive after all that has happened. But I think she is slowly, like seriously turtle pace, putting the pieces together. Siobhan on the other hand has made some progress with selling her sister’s ring, trying to buy a fake passport, stealing Andrew’s files, meeting with Henry, getting questioned by Machado (another one who is getting nowhere), and then proving to Henry that both of the twins are there in NYC. Phewwww all in a day’s work for a criminal mastermind….errr bitch perhaps is the better term.
I kind of already suspected this type of scenario would happen, I just want to see what happens next. What I was more interested in, believe it or not, was whether Juliet was raped by Carpenter or not. I have speculated in the past that she was just being a whore and lying, even her mother made a big scene about this because they found school surveillance video of her trying to seduce him *rolls eyes* but remember the bully Tessa? (I think that’s her name at least) She came by Andrew’s palace errr I mean place, and after Juliete’s brilliant one liner she said that she too was forced to have sex with him! I’m so confused, so he really is a student raper? He seemed so proper to the audience’s eye, or at least to mine. I have two theories: they are both lying although I’m not sure why Tessa would be lying….there must be some reason….perhaps she wants him to be kicked out of the school because we all know she isn’t his favourite…. Or is she? Secondly: he really is a douchewhore. I suspect many of you already know the answer if it was revealed in the latest episode but I am yet left to wonder. I shall review the next episode in most likely great detail.
Thanks for reading - comments, questions and theories are most welcome & appreciated :) xo
Well not quite but it’s close enough. I loved American Horror Story. All those twists and turns, every episode gave us little answers and a lot more questions but I loved it because unlike some of those boring, mindless television it gave me something to think about. Now don’t get me wrong, I love plopping myself down on the couch with a bag of chips and staring at the television with my mouth open, everything else is shut off. Especially my mother. But AHS gave me the possibility to come up with countless theories that I enjoyed contemplating with my boyfriend. Avid fans right here.
With season 2 only rolling up in October (oh good God *sad smiley*) it was like “well what am I gonna watch now?” A lot of good shows came out and some bad one (“Work It” anyone?) however none are quite like American Horror Story which is unparalleled in the tv industry. Can you come up with any other show that does quite what AHS does? Nope, didn’t think so. However if you loved AHS like I did, then you should check out The River.
The River’s premise is about an adventurer, Emmet Cole, who is really famous because he televises his explorations. (Think Steve Irwin/ Crocodile Hunter) One day when he was on what was supposed to be one of his last missions, he went missing and after 6 months, they gave him up for dead. Unlike most people that just gave up, his wife, Tess, decided to go to the rain forest where he was last seen, and search for him bringing along their son, Lincoln, and his television crew among others.
Like AHS, The River brings something new to our television sets. It is a paranormal/horror/adventure show and what is so different about it, is that it is filmed like Paranormal Activity which I love. (Mind you I’m talking about the way they film it, not Paranormal Activity - I only watched the most recent one) I don’t think I ever saw a show completely based on “found footage”. Another thing I love is that one of the characters only speaks spanish (yeshhh! but don’t worry there are subtitles) and surprisingly enough she knows like everything there is to know about the rain forest and it’s secrets ie. magic.
So far in the past 3 episodes that have aired there has been: murder, possession, people going blind for no reason, and being chased by unknown creatures/ghosts of the rain forest, among other creepy things that give me goosebumps and some family secrets/love triangles being revealed. While not much is being revealed plot wise, this show will definitely keep you interested for the long run unless you don’t like ghosts or magic. I’m pretty sure in the next few episodes we will get more character and plot development so I would stick around. So far the season has been given 8 episodes and reviews have been positive. If anything I would watch it for the jumps, chills and thrills it gives you on a weekly basis. I will keep people posted of its development. Thanks for reading- questions, comments or theories are welcomed and appreciated :) xo
Hello all it’s time for another Alcatraz review - I’ve been quite busy so I’m behind a bit but this week I have little to do so I’m going to be on track yay! Anywho so this is the first episode that a GUARD has come back from ‘63 to the present day. In the past few episodes we have seen only inmates being chased after and caught. This was definitely a very good episode because many things were revealed and some questions were answered.
Hastings was a one of the head guards in Alcatraz and he was in charge of training the new guards. Ray, Rebecca’s surrogate uncle, was one of those. When Ray was there, Tommy (Rebecca’s actual grandfather) attacked him. At first we as an audience do not know why. We assume however it’s because they knew each other previously and were good friends. This of course no one in the prison knows, as Ray just blows it off as some random attack. In order for Ray to prove this though, he has to beat up Tommy in front of the rest of the inmates. Once this happens Ray proves himself and Tommy goes to the infirmatory.
Throughout these snippets, that I have pieced together, we are seeing what is happening in the present world. Hastings is back and is looking for Tommy. In order to find him he goes looking for Tommy’s relatives. He eventually finds Ray and kidnapps him, forcing him to locate Tommy because he knows that he has more to do with Tommy then Ray lets on. Ray was surprised to see Hastings of course, but it didn’t seem like he was too shocked which makes us wonder if there’s more going on. We also don’t know why Hastings needs Tommy… is Tommy the key to this entire mystery?
By watching what happens in the past and glimpses of Hastings life from his own point of view we get to know his version of the story and what happened to him. Hastings’ wife and daughter were being told that he’d died in an accident on the island. Hastings told Ray that he and the other guards had been told that their families had all died in an accident. He also said that the guards were told they were sick and contaminated, and then “it wasn’t 1963 anymore.” We also learn that Ray is actually Tommy’s brother and that he is trying to protect Rebecca because she is the only link to finding Tommy. Of course Rebecca finds this out and now has to rescue Ray.
Ray takes Hastings to Tommy’s old house and they wait for Tommy to arrive, who arrives however is Rebecca and Hastings is captured. Hauser is actually nice enough to let him see his daughter who now has children and grandchildren of her own. Probably the nicest thing the ol’ grinch has ever done… however they both know that he will never see them again.
The story raps up but there is still one more twist. Ray was locking up the bar and guess who enters. Yup no one else but Tommy! Ray is not at all surprised to see him but just tells him calmly to get out cause the next time he sees him, he will kill him. He is doing everything in his power to protect Rebecca. So this isn’t the first time that he has encountered Ray and obviously this is why he wasn’t so surprised to see Hastings, he already knows what’s going on! Rebecca on the other hand also realizes that Hauser needs her more than he had previously led on. If Hauser had approached Ray before and Rebecca now, this means that Tommy is they key to everything…how though is still a mystery.

Revelations: Ray is Tommy’s brother and Tommy may be the answer to everything or at least a link.
Highlights: Ray protecting Rebecca, Hauser letting Hastings see his family…as he said Hastings is only a victim in this.
My theory is that Tommy somehow invented this as he seems to be the one behind the curtain telling the inmates everytime that something was going to happen in almost every episode. Or he is a very important pawn to the other Wardens and what not. If you have any theories let me know. Thanks for reading :)
So I actually didn’t watch this episode until recently but when my friend said it was AMAZEBALLS, it literally was AMAZEBALLS! I enjoyed this episode more than the previous ones. Maybe it was because we finally are going somewhere in the plot line aka into why the prisoners vanished…. or maybe it’s just that it focused on Cal Sweeney who was just oozing sex appeal and charm even though he was the bad guy. But hey, who isn’t attracted to the bad boy once in a while ;)

As mentioned above, this episode focused on Cal Sweeney, a bank robber from Alcatraz. It starts off when Cal enters the bank and goes to a teller, he greets her and then they go “see his safe deposit boxes”, what this really means is they’re going to get it on. Little does the poor woman know that he is about to inject her with a needle and put her asleep. Nice tactic- seduce and rob. He was about to leave when the bank manager came in and saw what happened, he killed him with a bullet to the head and then walked away. Doc who knows everything about Alcatraz already knows that Cal is the culprit when Rebecca receives the news as they were eating breakfast. It seemed odd to me that she would choose a Chinese place… I didnt think they served breakfast… to each their own I guess but damn that white girl sure can eat those dumplings … I assume so anyways. I’m more of a non-breakfast sorta girl but that’s not the point.
They decide to interview the people who were robbed, however they arrived too late for one man who was killed by Sweeney.Apparently he was mad because the man wouldn’t tell him the story of how he and his wife met. What does that say about Sweeney? Does he like people to have a past? Is that what spares them from death? Clearly memories had a lot to do in the plot line. We go back to the past and Tiller is trying to get into Sweeney’s contraband business for a greater profit. Sweeney only agrees because Tiller took an emty tin box from his cell.
Once again in the present Sweeney continues to seduce women and rob banks but we find out that he was sent by someone to look for something important. That something important is a key, that they retrieve once they catch him. Now here’s what they key point of the episode is : Sweeney’s protege was the one who set Sweeney up. Somehow Sweeney got the warden to lock him up somewhere. He opened up the door with the same keys that Hauser and the gang are collecting. It takes 3 keys to open up the door and they have 2. What was beyond that door? Is it how the prisoners disappeared? Finally that start of some answers!
Highlights: Cal Sweeney’s sex appeal ;)
Revelations: The mysterious door and the keys that unlock it.

Hey guys :) so I thought I would talk a bit about Revenge :) I’m not going to do a full review because I think it’s too far in the season unless someone requests it. So here are my two cents worth in this. After 2 weeks of reruns we finally got a new episode. While I love Emily’s twisted mind trying to find ways to destroy people in particular Victoria, I was happy to see that there were some action. Brief summary: Jack found a tape that had an interview when Emily/Amanda was 10, and even though she recruited fake Amanda and Nolan to stop him from watching it…. he still did and made a big scene at Daniel and Emily’s engagement party. Needless to say fake Amanda is still there and going rogue! She’s mad at Emily for telling her to push Jack away, I guess she really does love him…kinda feel sorry for her but not really aha. Seriously she’s annoying and I feel like she’s going to start more drama. Next, Charlotte found out that Conrad is not really her dad, now I genuinely feel sorry for her cause they actually had a very good father-daughter relationship which is why Emily backed out of her plan to “tell” her. Lastly, Emily’s secret hiding place was broken into! (The little opening in the floor boards) I bet it was fake Amanda who wanted to get revenge!
Anywho if anyone else has any theories, message me :) I’ll be posting reviews for Alcatraz, Ringer and The River so far. If you want me to write reviews for Revenge on a regular basis as well just let me know thanks guys! xo
hey guys :) so I haven’t forgotten to do my reviews, I’ve just been super busy with school these past two weeks so today I will post reviews for the last 2 episodes of Alcatraz, a review for Ringer once I watch it and a review for the new show The River which was sooooo good :) Thanks to those who actually read my blog :*
Hey guys so I’ve been quite busy with school had some tests and stuff but let’s not go into detail, I won’t bore you with all that ;) I said I wasn’t going to review any show that has already started but this is by the request of my boyfriend….So today I finally had the chance to watch Ringer. Yes, after what seemed like forever, it returned from hiatus. Now, I don’t have The CW and I think it shows on Global…? But it’s not promoted or anything so far as I can tell, so I almost forgot that it was coming back. Don’t get me wrong, the last episode left me in suspense, shock, all that but a girl can only wait so long until other things preoccupy her mind ya know. I definitely think there has to be more promotion on their part. While I was looking for links, I read that there were just under 2 million viewers who watch the mid-season return. Now, I normally don’t care how many people watch, but isn’t that bad? I thought that it got another season or what not but if there are no viewers, that ain’t gonna happen. Let’s hope that people actually realize it’s on tv again.
So the episode started with Siobhan staring at Bridget while she was taking a shower, so sketch. I thought either she’s going to kill her or this is some weird kinky shit.
I must say with that coat on, Siobhan looked very pregnant, how many months along is she anyways? It then goes back to 2 days earlier, where Andrew and Bridget are having dinner with a couple. Obviously the woman, Greer (Where the hell does the writers of this show come up with the names? Like really Siobhan and now Greer?) has some sort of grudge against Siobhan and Bridget has no clue about what it is, as she usually doesn’t. She just keeps on saying things and making them seem like questions for example: we had a fight because of _____ didn’t we….. If I was the friend or whoever I’d be like no shit sherlock. Of course they don’t know that she’s not the real Siobhan.
By the end of the episode we find out that Greer found out about the affair so that’s why she was giving her the cold shoulder, it apparently affected her a lot. But in Bridget fashion she tried to repair the damage. Onto the next sub-plots.
Obviously we know that Siobhan is back in NYC and besides sneaking a peek at her sister, she also hacked into Andrew’s computer and copied some important files. She also tried to talk to Henry. I don’t know what she was thinking, she wasn’t going to confess the truth and in the end it just got him mad at poor Bridget.
All that aside, I just wanted to know of Mr. Carpenter raped Juliet or not. Juliet was acting strange around the house and didn’t want to go to school, Bridget knew something was up but didn’t know what until the party that is. It was a fundraiser for Juliet’s school so teachers were invited. Juliet decided to deal with it by drinking, while her friend just gave her drink after drink. During the span of 5 minutes , she got drunk and made a scene, which lead to the revelation of what “occured”. I still don’t know if it’s true or not, all I know is that Bridget went all “Buffy” on Mr. Carpenter and knocked him to the ground. Yea, don’t mess with Buffy bitches.
Instead of being grateful as she should have been, Juliet was mortified that everyone knows. I’m confused…. I think if it happened to me, I would want to hurt the son-of-a-bitch, which makes me think it’s all a lie.
The last scene was probably the most important. Siobhan again went to talk to Henry, this time at his apartment. She confesses that she loves him. Henry doesn’t believe her because she is acting like two different people. So he asks, who are you? Will Siobhan reveal herself?
Revelations: Agent Machado knows it was Siobhan who met with Charlie not Bridget. Otherwise, we as an audience, know nothing new.
Highlights: Buffy! (LMAO @ the picture I found… just google it…. the website from where it is actually from —> http://smallscreenscoop.com/sarah-michelle-gellar-ringer/322191/ all credits go to them ofc)
